Ciao! Come vanno i miei amici? Bene, spero? Bulla…
We have just returned from a family vacation in Fiji. It was lovely to relax and spend uninterrupted time with Matt, Chloe and Tom, read a couple of books, write in my journal, swim in the ocean and play endless games of cards. Simple and very low key. I also met Nem who welcomed me into his Koromakawa Village. I asked him what community means to him, and he said … ‘belonging to a culture with a group of people who have been through so much together…what I have is not mine unless I share it with others who need it more than me with no expectation in return…that’s how community works…’. A humbling reminder for all of us. I will share more stories of my village experience in the coming weeks. Follow me.
