Hello! I trust all is well with you and your loved ones.
It has been a slower paced couple of weeks with school holidays in full swing here. I have had some time away from my desk and enjoyed soulful trips and activities with family and friends. I took a short getaway with my husband Matt and spent the night in the Eco Lodge at the Peninsula Hot Springs which was relaxing. Then, some time away just for me. A solo trip to the small village of Portsea where I slept so well (thank you very much) and dined at the freshly renovated Portsea Hotel. The time alone was nourishing and enjoyable and reminded me that I should do that more often. I indulged in art galleries, swam in the bay, and visited my friend Kirsty for a lovely impromptu lunch in Sorrento. Don’t you just love impromptu gatherings? It just takes the pressure off planning things and focuses on the joy of being together and enjoying the company of each other.
It is officially cold in Melbourne now with temperatures truly dropping to Winter levels! I am still swimming in the ocean with the average water temperature hovering around 10-12 degrees. Yes, it is freezing! But, with knowledge, training and care my body is adapting very well. Cold water therapy and being immersed in nature is just so good for us and I know I am reaping the benefits. Take a look at my recent experience swimming with Fiona Basile in Seaford and Half Moon Bay.
I hope you enjoy reading This Winter in our Village. Stay well and very warm.
With love Silvia xx
